Using a VHS tape that runs OK on my TV, i'm unable to see the capture preview as i try and run the video into the software.(Audio is ok)

Sometimes if i use a short capture length (i.e. 10secs) it does produce a video "object" or clip and the preview window then shows a still of the last frame.

What am i doing wrong?

I only bought this system yesterday, do i need to take it back for a refund?

Note - I'm in the Uk and the video format defauted to PAL I
