Sorry but am trying to transfer my VHS tapes - my Magix 'Rescue your Videotapes' was bought in 10 years ago but not used til now. When I try to record I get the message 'No Recording Device Found in Your System'. I assumed all the software needed would be with it. Any advice -thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum
Assuming you have followed the instructions in the manual availalble under Help then to connect the VCR to the USB capture device, in the Windows settings, Privacy, Camera and Microphone options ensure that the Allow desktop apps to access your Camera/Microphone are both enabled.
You should now be able to connect to the USB converter.

Thanks had already checked that - I have just seen that under devices it says USB 2861 driver unavailable! Will try again tomorrow!!

Is this the red or red/white Magix USB converter?
If so the latest driver is here.
