I have closed your duplicate post on the same issue.
I have had a look at your website with Edge, Firefox and Opera and it is not working in any of them, nor can I see anything obvious in the jQuery scripts that are driving the slide change.

I would also suggest you join and ask in the TalkGraphics forum here, this is the original forum for Xara products, someone there may be able to help, however searching for Nivo Slider does not produce many results.

Thank you for your prompt and thorough reply. I have checked for ' and " and cannot see any settings to alter - and never have. I have changed time and fade and added a picture to nudge the save into working at something new...I have recently changed hosting package, and find it suspicious that other of my sites have similar problems. When I approach them they say 'Third party products not supported - our systems are working perfectly - good bye.' I am truly stuck, and dismayed. Nothing like this has happened before and I stand to lose a lot of reputation and some income. I will try the talk graphics forum. My only other thought is to delete Designer and re-load a fresh copy. Is there any other suggestion you can make - thank you for extensive research. Google search shows all nivo problems seem to revole around the scripts...about which I know nothing. Glad they are OK - tks. B at HV

Xara Web Designer creates websites that are based on jQuery for there core functionality. jQuery is not host dependent as it runs in the viewers browser on their computer.
Have you tried creating a test page using a different slideshow widget eg Tile Slideshow 1 to see if this has the same issue.
