I am having some issues with the M-Audio Fast Track Pro, and the Magix Software. I am unable to create any recordings without massive corrosion and digital glitches within it.
You've done right by updating your software - good job. Next increase the audio buffers in Music Maker and choose ASIO for your M-Audio in the program settings.
Also, since your interface is USB, download the free universal ASIO driver from ASIO4ALL.com and install it; you may have to select it in Magix program settings.
Once we have you up and running, remember that your multiple inputs will not record simultaneously to multiple tracks in Music Maker. Just one track at a time.
Hi Melissa,
You're doing great so far... next, in the Windows Control Panel find the Sound applet and make sure that your M-Audio is set for the preferred device in recording.
Then go to magix and make sure the program settings are set for your M-Audio as the device. It will reference the M-Audio somehow and possibly which input. It does NOT need to be ASIO at this phase.
Next, in your record dialog window, again make sure your M-Audio is the recording device and it's using the correct input (1 or 1+2)
Now make sure your level is low on the M-Audio and high in Music Maker, if you push to hard with the M-Audio you'll get some nasty clipping in Magix.
