What Windows operating system do you have?

Do you have full administration mode?

I got a strange response from support on that... I haven't tested it as of yet. What I have done is load in all the genre folders and samples into an area of my computer, and I use the "File Manager" part of the program to access my sound samples.

Here is what I got from support.

This problem usually occurs because the file permissions have been changed, most likely through Security software (anti-viral software).

If the soundpool files are from Magix then it is recommended to do the following:

1. Close Music Maker.
2. Remove any Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware software. It will have to be temporarily uninstalled.
3. Run a search for the folder "Audiotemp". Locate the one in the Music Maker directory and delete all files in it.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Run the Soundpool Content Pack again, it should prompt you to repair click on this to repair the file.
6. Load Music Maker and check the soundpools are working correctly.
7. Reinstall your Anti-Virus software.

If the files are non Magix, then you will need to double check the security properties of the file.

1. Locate the file in Windows Explorer/My Computer.
2. Right click on the file and go to Properties.
3. Go to Security.
4. Here you can set the permissions, make sure that your username and the Administrator account are allowed full access to the file. There should be no denies.
5. Click on OK, to complete.
6. The file should load now.

Thanks John

the response does seem rather strange

should the program store all soundpools or do you have to load them on each session?
