Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

If your website URL is directing to the "wrong" host that means you have not asked either GoDaddy or Xara to arrange for the hosting to be transferred between them. Without this transfer being actioned, all the DNS records for your site will continue to point to Xara!

The normal method of doing this is to ask the "new" host to arrange the transfer.

The site appear to work fine here except for the Home button which is looking for a page called main - the link destination needs changing.

. . . . NO Index file . . . .

That, plus the Home button destination looking for a non existent page suggests you changed the name of the home page to main.

A website home page should be named index - as seen below - this is the default name that the webserver will look for other wise you have to change the host settings of your website which is not advisable.

Thank you for the replies. I've fixed the Home/index problem. Deleted and re-installed a new file.

The xara problem only happens on my cell phone. Home page shows up fine but as soon as I press on any other page I'm immediately re-directed to Xara.

This is a new website that has only ever been on Godaddy. Xara should have no control over the site, period.

If you cell phone is an Apple device and using Safari - this may be an obscure issue with Safari which is known to have had some issues with sites that use javascript.

Xara says its Magix problem

It appears to me, the real issue is, someone, somewhere has built a backdoor into private websites. Xara and Magix need to track this down yesterday..

A common assumption not supported by fact that if this was the case it would have been reported by many more users and fixed very quickly by Xara.

I have checked the HTML that is uploaded and there is no mention of xara.mountainvideos.com and trying to browse directly to xara.mountainvideos.com - returns there is no such site.

Assuming you are publishing the site direct to GoDaddy servers from within Web Designer and that the upload parameters of the website and URL are set correctly and you are not having the same issue when using your computers web browser(s) - do test in several browsers on your PC, then as I said previously the issue is with your mobile device.

I have tested your site in Opera, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer all with no issue.

Can you capture and post a screenshot of the issue on your cell phone.

Thanks for your efforts John. Android phone. Tested on several different phones. Same results.

But... I changed the settings in the drop down menu of the phone while my site is up. If I switch to the desktop site (setting on the phone) my website works as it should, though very small.

As soon as I switch back to normal setting, my web site will re-direct to Xara.com and a very nice page about

While I'm on the Xara site, if I go to the setting to see the site in desktop mode it switches back to my website. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thanks for the clarification - the confusion was caused by the title of the topic ie the redirect is to Xara.com.

The mobile variant is indeed pointing to Xara, it looks like in Web Designer the mobile variant navigation bar is not set to link to the site pages has been unlinked from the main, this could also result in changes in the main site not being reflected into the mobile site.

Ensure you have a backup copy of the web site project.

In the Mobile site variant - right click the navigation bar, select Edit Navigation bar and manually correct the links to point to the correct pages.

Thanks for the feedback.

I did more checking on this and there is an odd behaviour which requires manual intervention when I linked the Mobile variation to the Main site.

Assuming the template you started with had both the Main and Mobile variants displayed, both should match as you add pages and name them.
