Where can I set the language? After updating, everything is in a foreign language

ralftaro wrote on 10/5/2023, 8:43 AM

Hi @Pawel-Niedzielnicki,

Sorry, I think you went from an older generation to the current one and you're referring to the fact that Polish is no longer supported as a user interface language in Music Maker (along with a whole bunch of other languages). Unfortunately, we had to reduce the number of supported languages and the localisation overhead a bit. Not sure what language your program has defaulted to now, but in the following screenshot you will see what languages are still available and how to reach the relevant setting in the program:

Sorry again for the inconvenience. I hope you'll get on OK using the program in English.

I wrote a song. Is it possible to record and add a vocal track in Music Maker Premium 2023? tia

ralftaro wrote on 10/11/2023, 5:47 AM

Hi @David-Harney,

You'd accomplish this via the audio recording function in the software. Please also see the documentation on that subject or the following tutorial clips:

In the future, please consider raising a new forum topic, if you have similar questions, as it's not really relevant to the topic of this existing thread here. Naturally, for questions related strictly to program use, you might also want to check the official documentation, the "tutorials" section on this website or tutorial videos on YouTube first. Thanks!

Dear Sir, I've been using the 64 bit previous version of Music Maker Premium and have kept updating patches as and when they appeared, but your latest patch, whilst taking the platform to 2024, has downgraded the original programme to a 32 bit version and so many of my other VST's and loops won't function and there seems to be no way of keeping my original 64 bit version, because the 32 bit instruments and loops etc are installed after removing the 64 bit equivalents in the programme. There are also missing 64 bit items I bought from Magix for the 64 bit version that now won't work and aren't recognised in your 2024 update, including my Band-In-A-Box DAW software link. How do I ensure your update stays as a 64 bit version ?

Sincerely,

Duane

@Duane

Hi,

You are mistaken. There is no 32bit version for Music Maker 2024. The version number is 32 - that does not make the program 32 bits.

@Duane

Hi

In addition to @browj2's comment, did you activate the 2024 version by logging in in the Splash screen that opens on starting the program, ie does your email address used to register the eaerlier version(s) show in the top left corner, and the previous activated version(s) of MMM that you had show as shown below?

If so did you download and install the extra content that becomes available under the Downloads tab as shown below?

The VST issue would suggest that the VST Support abd VST Bridge features are not installed, check in the Store that the VST Support and VST Bridge extras are available, and installed.

Note: upgrading the program only replaces the core program it does not delete any VSTs, loops etc, some may be upgraded to newer versions.

@Pawel-Niedzielnicki

Hi

There is probably a hidden dialog behind the opening screen which is wating for a response from you.

Try pressing the Esc key on the keybaord to close the hidden dialog.

If this does not work, try pressing press the right arrow key then the Enter key.

Once you get the program to start open the program settings and carry out the following:

On the General options tab, select Clean up the store option this will reset the store and reboot the program - you may still hit the hidden dialog if so repeat the above procedure to get the program to run.

In the General tab select the option to Rescan soundpools

In the Folders tab select Reset VST paths and in the dialog that opens select Scan now if the scan fails or hangs you should be able to see what is casuing the the issue -eg either that a VST cannot be found/scanned/is corrupt or that a folder does not exist.

If, after the above, the program still hangs, do a full reset of the program settings - File, Settings, Reset program settings.
