MPEG Activation

I am using Photostory 2014 Deluxe.

I am using Windows 8.1

When I want to add a 'travel' intro at the beginning of my video, a box comes up telling me 'one time activation' is required to actvate MPEG-2 . I tick yes and to activate on-line. then a box appears to tell me that activation has failed : If you are using the program as a guest, please repeat the activation the procedure with administrator rights.

How do I do this? I did not think I was a guest when I have purchased the program and I own my computer!

That is refering to he user role on the computer when you log on.

If you are using the account that was created when you first set up your computer then you should be an Administrator.

Check that you have a good Internet connection and that your firewall or antivirus suite is not blocking the program from accessing the Internet.

I have exactly the same problem with Photo Story on DVD 2013 DeLuxe. Created a nice photo video but when I went to burn it, I got the activation message. Tried to activate on line AND over the phone (very long winded) - typed in the 25 digit number provided and it still told me I was using my own system 'as a guest'!

Someone must know how to sort this out. Otherwise I will have to chuck this out and buy a decent product.

I'm having the same issue with Photo Story 2014 Deluxe. Surely someone has an answer to this. The phone support line is unresponsive and garbage!

Please do not resurrect old topics this one is 3 years old.

Without more information on your computer it is difficult to identify what the problem is - see this post and then come back with more information, include:

Computer specification include processor make/model, quantity of RAM, Graphics cards used if any, Windows version.
Windows version
Was Photostory working before, if so what changed on your computer that stopped it?

and post these in a new post.
