MP4 AVC H.264 Files on Demo?

Hi, I'm looking for a good video editor for my new digital video camera. I have a Sanyo HD100 which records mp4 AVC H2.64 files. I just downloaded the demo of Magix Movie Edit Pro 14 PLUS to make sure my files would work before spending the cash.

The files appear in the import list, but when I click to import, I get the message that "The file format of sany0023.mp4 cannot be opened by MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14! Please make sure that the drive is not full or write-protected."

The drive isn't write protected... what's up? Can Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus open and edit my files or not? Is it just because of the demo?

magix cannot edit m2t file which sony used. the only programe that can do that is cyberlink powerdirector 7

MPEG4 activation is required before AVCHD files (*.mts/*.m2ts) can be imported into Movie Edit Pro 14.

I am also using the trial version of Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus.
My Sanyo produces H.264 MP4 files.
I cannot open them with Magix - message says cannot open....
I have read in this thread that activation is required for MP4.
I have looked in the help section but cannot find how to do this.
Can you please provide some hints on where to look in Magix to do this activation process - a how to guide for dummies even better.

I have this same problem, I buy MPEG4 activation but I cannot open files hi resolution (>=720p ). I get message that "... drive is not full or write-protected"ex (640x480 MPEG4 files is OK)
