Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus and HD problem with laggy editing...

Hello!

I got an XR520V from Sony, and it has a great picture, but it seems like my system just can't keep up with the 1080i. Even in SP mode, there is a significant choppy and laggy occurrence. Also, if I play two videos at the same time, it freezes until both videos are done playing, as if it is just overloaded...

My processor is Intel Duo 1.73 ghz
RAM= 3 GB
Harddrive= 250 GB

What can I do with the options in the program for it to read my videos better?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated...

I'm having the same problem. Just how fast a machine do you need to edit HD video??
My laptop's faster than yours with more memory but it doesn't make a difference. I read elsewhere in the forum that the choppyness won't affect the outcome of the vid when you burn it, but it makes it tough to try and edit the video, especially if it's lengthy. Kinda sucks.

Anyone have an answer???
