With most PC soundcards, it is not possible to record from a mic connected to the soundcard and monitor through the soundcard what is being recorded. You can monitor only what is already recorded, but not your voice. An exception would be an audio card that can use an ASIO driver. Yours most likely cannot. You can try changing to an ASIO driver in the program setup to see, but I doubt that it would work.

For direct monitoring while playing you will require an audio interface with ASIO drivers. Focusrite and M-Track have USB interfaces that allow you to have 2 inputs, say a guitar and a mic, and a monitor to hear what you are recording along with any audio that is playing in MMM while you are recording. MMM can only record to 1 track at a time. A guitar and a mic connected to a USB interface record to one track but on separate channels (left and right) that can be split into separate tracks.
