Mnay thanks for yourr answer on using Photo Story on Windows 10.Everything now works except one.

I had no trouble reloading Photo Story 1013 in the manner you kindly supplied.

Whilst I can now create a dvd wih transitions etc I am having difficulty when trying to create another DVD with  any changes I have made. The programme always defaults to the original unedited version. Is there a fix for this ?

I would be very grateful for a reply.

I am using Photo story  2013 on Windows 10 32bit and I have tried reloading the programme again.

Hi

Try the following:

  1. Open the DVD project

  2. Select File, Manage slideshow, Export slideshow file as shown below

  3. Give the export MVM a name and save.

  4. Start a new project closing the one you have just exported

  5. Select File, Manage slideshow, Import slideshow file

  6. Locate the MVM saved above then import

  7. OK the following warning

  8. Save the project with a new name

You should now be able to edit it and save the changes.

Many thanks I can now edit. However I was hoping for a patch or some method of modifying the programme so that it behaves as it should and I do not need to go through a procedure every time. I,m sure you will let me know if such a method exists. Alternatively can i use the latest Photostory, which requires 64 bits on my 32 bit PC ?

Hi

. . . . . can i use the latest Photostory, which requires 64 bits on my 32 bit PC ? . . . .

No - you will need a 64 bit version of Windows.

However there are several downsides/requirements to a 64 bit upgrade:

  1. the PC must be able to support 64 bit OS

  2. you must backup all your data to another hard drive or computer before installing the 64 bit OS

  3. you would have to re-install all your programs after the upgrade

  4. you would have to restore all the backed up data

For more information see here.
