I am a newbie to this Forum and to Photostory Deluxe so please be gentle with me! I have wedding photos and a separate wedding video file. I want to make a Photostory where I display photos but also insert clips from the video file. Is there a way I can do this?

Yes, it is the same principle as for images; import the videos to the timeline at the required points, edit the clips as required, add any effects and or transitions. When you export the timeline or create a disc the videos will be included.
You will find it better to work in Timeline mode, rather than Storyboard mode.
I would also suggest you read the installed PDF manual available under Help.
