Missing "premium" styles in Music Maker 17

snscott wrote on 5/1/2011, 7:14 PM

I just purchased and downloaded Music Maker 17 Premium and downloaded/installed the additional content - but the "premium extra" styles are no where to be found. I have searcehd my entrie hard drive for the appropriate files but they're not there.  Only the "standard" set of styles is located in the BASIC folder.  When I try to re-download the "premium extras" it shows me it was all successfully downloaded and installed.

Not sure what to do next, or what else is missing from the "premium" package that I purchased.

I searched on here for a solution but nothing I've read so far even comes close to resolving the issue - which seems to be that the missing styles are truly NOT installed anywhere on my computer despite what the download dialog says.

I bought MMM 17 Prem but I'm not even sure if there is such thing like "premium styles"...

The premium content is... as far as I know... the programm itself... more synthesizers... better performance... and the possibility to integrate VST-plugins from everywhere...

The PDF manual states:

"The Premium version includes additional styles in genres like MovieScore,Minimal Electro, Hardstyle, Ambient and 60s Soul"

But I see only "MovieScore" in the SoundPool.

Hi,

If you have downloaded extra contents please check the KB or MB file size if that is complete.

Then Open your Music Maker 17 Premium click on Add styles button. To see complete items you should turn of Easy mode. I hope you already knew that right?

When you will click on Add styles button you should browse to folder where other soundpools are. Then locate the newly added folder which you are trying to locate. Then click on it and OK. Soundpool contents should be added in the Library.

The best method to confirm is, first check the date you downlaed your extra contents then go to Basic folder locate any new folder installed on that date then check. When you will know the folder it will be easier to use Add styles and browse to that folder.

What is your OS, xp, vista or 7?

If need further help send message.

Thank you

Additional: if you want re download contents pack first clear browser history and cookies then try.

Windows 7, and I just re-downloaded and installed the content from the Help menu within the program itself.  Still not seeing  (or finding with Add Styles) all the content that the PDF manual says comes with the premium edition.

Hi,

It seems Windows  7 gives some trouble I have read about that here earlier.

As you have purchased MMM 17 Premium you better contact Magix support and ask.

In the meantime you can also check in Windows 7 the hidden files. May be extra contents are saved there. I use Windows vista to see hidden files I have to go to

Local Disk C:Tool/Folder Options/View/File and Folder, show all folder and files click OK.

After that I can see Program Data files.

Note: In past I had read some where for MMM 17 Premium there is an update (for Windows 7) is available, did you update your MMM 17 Premium?

You are also right in the Premium version there are more sound pool styles.

Thank you
