MIDI import not working on Music Maker 17 Premium trial version

I've downloaded the Music Maker 17 Premium trial version, and it looks like MIDI file import function is not enabled by default.

This was the only reason I wanted to test out the software.

The Help document states that pressing CTRL-I should import a MIDI file, but the program doesn't respond to this command.

Is the function only available on the full retail version?

Is there a better program to use than MM17 Premium?

What I'd like to do is import a MIDI file, then convert the pieces, using nice sounding grand piano and other piano like sound fonts.

Thank you.

I can't tell you about the trial...

But with the MIDI editor in Music Maker 17 I can change the piano sounds (I use the Vita as it has some great true sounding piano) I actually duplicate the MIDI track to alter the sound of an additonal piano then playback in unison.

For me, it's great.
