This is an issue that I found 2 days ago also in Music Maker in that the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth is not an option in the program settings to use as an output device, and other software that uses the same Synth cannot play MIDI files eg, Windows Media Player, it did a few weeks ago now it doesn't

I suspect it is an issue from one of the latest Windows updates from Microsoft - so far I have not found a way to get MMM or WMP to recognise the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth using every solution I could find on the Microsoft web site.
