(MEP14) Freezing frames before transitioning to the next scene?

Hi

Does anyone know if there's a way of freezing frames for a few seconds before transitioning to the next scene in video function of MEP-14?

I have V.12 but it's probably the same. Here's what I do. Go to file-export movie- single frame as mpg. Capture a jpg at the spot you want the freeze and insert it in the movie for as long as you want the freeze.
