mda reports dvd image creation error - PhotoStory CD/DVD 5

I am so frustrated, I have been trying to burn a DVD for days on end. I have downloaded all patche and followed every piece of advise I could find, etc. But am still experiencing this error. Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem. Here is the error message

ERROR: PrepareDVDVideoFiles() failed with errNo 5 - encoding failed

Can anybody help?

Kellyk, know how you feel, have PhotoStory CD/DVD 8 and the same problem persists. Don't know if it's in the computer or the program but the lack of feedback from Magix is really pissing me off this program. I actually burned 1 initial project and have hit a firewall ever since. Are there any geeks out there who have had the same problem and can someone from Magix get off their arse and look into this problem? I've downloaded the latest 9 version which is set up on a different file but I'm fucked if I'm going to start my projects all over again and run into the same shit with the burner. So, yeah, I'm a bit frustrated,
can't you tell? And Magix, there are some of us who live in Ostralia and not just in the US and Europe. So how about some links on your downloads?

I just started using PhotoStory on CD & DVD 9 and have had "termination with errors reported" trying to save my slideshow in several formats. The error messages don't seem reasonable, based on the solid computer it's running on. I came here today looking for answers. The answer seems to be this: Magix doesn't give a rip about problems. Some problems were posted a year or more ago with "no answer yet" (ever).

This product has great features, but if you can't produce the product that you bought it for, what good is it?

Next time buy through Amazon.com. You have a month to find if it works or not and can get your money refunded.
