Hi,

What exactly do you mean by "Mastering?"

If you click on the Master button, it opens the mastering tools. These are all explained in the manual. Click on the ? to open the help manual to the relevant section.

Or, open the Mixer (M) look at the right bottom of the mixer, just above the word MASTER, click not the dropdown "Mix to file." This will create a master of your composition.

If you want to create a CD, click on the Export button at the top of the screen and follow the instructions.

For tutorials, go to YouTube and search for "Kraznet mastering." He has done several mastering tutorials for Samplitude Pro, which is just a higher Pro version of Samplitude Music Studio. Review some of these.

Hi John,

Thank you for this info, I will check it out when I am back from work. I worked with other recording equipment before and after recording all the instruments on different tracks, you mix everything to the point that it is to your liking. After that you master it all into 1 stereo track, which will be the master and can be used for a CD.

I will follow your steps and check out the tutorials this evening. Thanks again.

Hi John,

The steps that I gave are the ones that you will need to follow:

  • Go through the Mixing process to make sure that all is the way you want it, including any automation;
  • Go through the Mastering process to get the final sound;
  • Mix to file;
  • Check mixed file, and go back and modify original and remix if necessary;
  • Export

Make sure to do a Save as occasionally, changing the project name by adding a revision, just in case you need to go back and to protect against the nasty corrupt project file that can happen.

Watching Kraznet tutorials will help.

You can also look at comments on the Samplitude Forum. There is where you have the experts.

What happens when life breaks down?

When there is systemic contradiction?
My name symbolized all that was corrupt to society.
His name symbolized all that was pure.

And I was being hailed in the embrace of the man who was pure.

And these inviolable sanctities were preserved in those ten words.

And it is the de-sacralization of all of these that has put us in the mess that we find ourselves.

Isn't it true, alas it is much worse.

A person may end up believing in anything.

You know, if that human acceptance does so much for you and me.

Think of what it is when God himself puts his arms around you and says

"Welcome home".

What love is this?

It is God's love.

And no other love can be defined until that love has properly been understood.

If you can’t make the trip to my studio yourself, don’t worry I now have my brand new Online Mastering Service. Many of my customers are happy to leave me to it, and my wide-ranging experience ensures that you can trust me to make sound judgements on your behalf – no pun intended!

The services on offer include both attended and unattended (online) mastering, vinyl cutting, re-mastering, editing and restoration. For further details please message me here.

A gorgeous room full of lots of lovely equipment isn’t going to cut the mustard unless it’s in the hands of an experienced creative engineer who understands your music and how to get the results you’re looking for.

I personally have been mastering for over 14 years now.
i have remixed and engineered for alice deejay.

Please note home mastering and studio mastering are not the same. This is a misconception. the process is different,and while the sound of the polished track may seem the same to the NAKED EAR so to speak actually sound different to the trained ear.

THE TRACKS I WILL BE UPLOADING WILL BE ONLY "HOME" MASTERING. (fast process). music maker defaults are ok but not polished.

most people are not concerned about the mastering there more comcerned about the FEEL.

i do not work for free so please do not sent me tracks to be mastered (for free). my time is not cheap.

====================================================================================

there are some rules that are just plain idiotic. What are some examples of this behavior, why do people do it? Is it because (This is my assumption) they are afraid of the unknown? They are afraid of taking risk? Or is something that happens during the "nurturing" phase of life with overprotective parents. Maybe it's even a genetic thing.

IF I DO NOT LIKE THE MUSIC I WILL "NOT"  WORK WITH IT.

I ONLY EVER WORK WITH MUSIC I PERSONALLY ENJOY.
THIS WAY MY PROFESSIONAL APPROACH CAN BE MET TO VERY HIGH STANDARDS.
