magix music maker 17 stoped saving soundpools?

dumboix wrote on 7/25/2011, 12:21 PM

i can´t understand why i cannot save soundpools in an arrangement as usual.

it saves a new soundpool with the same name as the original but instead of type:wave, is type:magix sounds, with about1,5mb  each! and some small blue circles appears.under the bar metter...

and when i load the arrangement it says:"the file associated with arrangement was not found"

this happens to all soundpools and i have to delete the"twin brother" using directory search and then the arrangement works fine, i don´t know where does it saves the soundpool first and how to stop it for doing that...

i always worked well saving soundpools into arrangements but i don´t know why this happens

please help!

It is strange.

What is the file format? magix sound is not a file format?

"why i cannot save soundpools in an arrangement as usual."

In Music Maker you can save your arrangements as a project using File/Save arrangement as. Its file extension is mmm.

You can also Export your project in various formats such as wave,mp3, ogg etc. If you prefer to Export and save as wave click on File/Export/Audio wave a window will open. Please make sure if Over write file without warning is not checked. Refer screen shot.

Please also check the tutorial it will also help you.

Note: is it possible to provide screen shot that will be much helpful to know your problem.

Hi,

Thank you for screen shot it helped to understand.

I think you are making some mistakes. First of all please assign Folder path. Do not keep everything in one folder make new folders. (refer screen shot how each folder is  created)Project, Import, Export,Recording, Soundpool, Audio

When Music Maker is open click "Y" key then click on Folder you can find where your audio files are being saved. Look at the folder path of Export folder.( you can change path as you like if you want)

Please note saving project and saving file in audio format is two different things.

Same like your problem when I save projects I also got same files with extension HO, HDP, According to Magix support no need to worry these files are small. When we use Arrangements it will open all projects files in the folder.

In this screen shot you can see when we use All files it will show us all files in the folder, but we can not open Wave, Mp3 etc. For audio files we have to use File Manager to browse and drag and drop audio files on arranger.

If you want to save audio files as Wave use File/Export and save.

hi!thanks for your reply!

you said"When we use Arrangements it will open all projects files in the folder."-that´s not true i´ve made everything you talked about with the same result.

1st i changed the folders path, and then i loaded arrangement and i tried both formats:mmm and" all files"...

don´t you know why the program creates a twin file when i try to save arrangement? why does he tries to open that same file everytime i load the arangement? and the only solution is delete this"magix sound"(like it apears on print screen 1) and then it works fine?

please note that there are soundpools that i can save , but normaly i can´t...?!

something strange is hapening because i cannot have access to soundpools via file manager and when i try to save an object as a take i don´t have access to the soundpools folder to choose the right one for object take

Hi,

Your Music Maker is behaving strangely I am surprised.

I think you got two options, re-install Music Maker and see if that works or not. Please make backup of saved project and other works for save side.

Second option please contact Magix Support explain to them your problem.

i reinstaled the program and now everything works fine, i hope this not happens again .

sometimes magix music maker turns my head out and i have to restart it but with this problem i had to reinstalled it!

other strange things that happened before and stopped after restart the program:

suddenly when i changed for another soundpool it did,t played at the same time as the arrangement, it stoped the arrangement so it was possible to listen only to the soundpool.

suddenly it didn´t copied the object´s effect, only copied the object without effect.

after export an arrangement suddenly i lost it without explication, in this case i never find the arrangement again.

i thought this kind of things should only happen in cracked programs, not in an original one...i will ask a system check to magix

Hi,

I am glad your problem solved at some level and also not glad because you are still facing problem. No doubt we can talk longer but the best way as you mention is to contact Magix support they will ask you to run a utility syscheck usually they will ask like this text copied from email to me:

To help speed up the support procedure, please attach all necessary
information, such as screen shots or files, in a reply to this email.
The most important information concerns the Hardware you are using as
well as any logfiles. This can be easily sent to us via our program
called "Syscheck".

I thought I should share with you so you know in advance what they will ask you ok.
