Latency, I know but please help.

Ok' here's the deal...when i have my headphones attached to my desktop tower (front input jack cause I do not have an audio interface) and I'm recording with my cheap microphone plugged into the front mic jack as well (again no audio interface) I have a delayed sound while recording and I'm not in time.  Now I know there is a tutorial here about latency, but it only talks about having a keyboard plugged in and nothing about a microphone and how to stop that delay.  I know nothing about to fix this problem.  If anyone wants to talk to me like I'm dumb, please do because I know nothing.  Please help me' I just want to record man.

Hi,

Do not worry no one is perfect. It is good to ask question.

I think may be these two pdf tutorial could help you

http://www.magix.info/us/how-to-connect-microphone-for-recording.online-training.154378.html

To solve latency problem, as you do not have any extra audio driver, you should choose from drop down menu available in Magix Music Maker.

OR

Usually some people prefer to use Asio4all when they got no extra driver installed

http://asio4all.com/

Thank you
