When I am making my movie the footage that I import jumps and the quality is really bad because of this. I have tried changing the playback quality and I do not think that the two are linked as this did nothing. It also sometimes leaves a blank space in some of the footage if I start playing the movie from the middle but it alright when playing it from, the start. When I publish my movie it cuts parts out and jumps like in the playback. How can I fix this problem as it has never worked?

Hi,
You need to give a bit more detail about your PC and files you are trying to edit.

is it HD or SD ? HD is more demanding on your PC, and even SD can push your computer to its limits. have you added lots of effects / transitions / corrections etc - these all add to demands on your PC ... try importing a shortish clip and just doing some simple cuts and export that ... if you can't do that successfully its pointless trying with one hour of footage.
Do your movie files play OK on your PC without any editing ? ... has your hard drive been defragmented recently.
Just a few ideas for things you can try ... if all else fails try emailing support.

hope that helps.

I have to agree with Bobbynuts. Video editing is very taxing on a computers resources. If you are not running a fast computer with lots of ram you can not expect programs like MEP to work properly.
