hi,

before using MM i use to use Music 2000 by jester for playstation ( no, it's not MTV generator which sucks ).in that program all the sounds ( thousands) are editable and composerable in a similar Vita-type interface. I was really excited about the soundpools until it seems i came to the conclusion you can't compose those files like the midi ( if i'm right, THAT SUX) am I right?. I can't understand how a little PS1 program i bought for $60 in 1999 gives me more control and say over composition than something more current. AM I WRONG. what's the point in having soundpools that are not note editorable?  where can i get more midi instruments for MM16 basic.

Yes, you're right (but, I don't know about the SUX part).  Yes, the soundpools in MMM are audio files which are not directly "note editable" as a MIDI file is.  It is clear, and logical, that your Music 2000 used a database consisting entirely of MIDI files.

In MMM, instead of ready made MIDI files, you have ready made audio files (the soundpools).  The Vita MIDI editor is there for YOU to create your own MIDI files.

Having the BASIC version of MM-16, you may not be able to add any VST instruments to your collection.  I pretty sure you can only do that in the Premium version (you can upgrade).
