@Linda-MacDonald

Hi

. . . . is there a way to export video as json? like bodymovin . . . .

JSON is not a video format, it is a 'javascript based text file format.

. . . . I would love to make a video play on scroll sort of like what you can do with after effects and bodymovin . . .

Video in mp4 h.264/AVC video and AAC audio encoded format can be used on a website as is without the need for any 'animator' plugin.

hey there @johnebaker apologies for my fuzzy question :) so what I mean is that with AE and bodymovin you can convert a video to a series of jpg and then export it as a json file. Then you can use it to make fancy scroll animations...can I do that in xara designer pro?

Hi

AFAICS this should be possible using Bodymovin and lottie.

For more information on Bodymovin and lottie consult their manuals and help pages.

In Web Designer add a placeholder of the required size on the required page and paste the code from lottie into the Body HTML section of the placeholder.

Do note:

  • if you are converting a video to animation you may end up with a large number of image files in the package

  • the lottie player does not appear to work correctly in the page preview of Web Designer, you have to view the page in a browser.
