I am new to video and editing. A few weeks ago I bought the Movie Edit Pro 16 but am having a problem using it for basic editing. The tutorials don't help me.

I have three one-minute clips that I shot with my Canon FS200 flash camcorder. I want to use these to practice basic editing - straight cuts, titles, dissolves from opening and closing credits - all simple stuff.

Is there a book or a video that will guide me through these basic steps of editing a film?
