Installing USB Driver for Rescue your Videotapes - Movies on DVD7l

I have the above product, which I purchased some years ago.  I now have a laptop with Windows 8 and although I can install the movie side of the installation when I try to install the USB video converter I get the following:

Magix USB Videowandler 2 BDA Driver Setup Wizard - System cannot detect the device on your computer, please make sure the device is connected properly.

I then tried plugging in the USB into my laptop and the following came up:

Windows Update Standalone Installer - Installer encountered an error Ox80096002. The certificate for the signer of the message is invalid or not found.

Am I having these problems because the USB is not compatable with Windows 8, Installation DVD says For Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista.

Any comments would be appreciated, especially if I need to buy a newer edition of Rescue your Videotapes.

Thanks very much

Lena

Hi

You can try updating the USB device driver using the correct one for your device from here.

Note - RYVT DVD 7 is not compatible with Windows 8 and some functions may not work - in particular you may find the DVD drive is not recognised when you try to burn to DVD..
