Installer exits

Good evening,

I was wondering whether you could please help me. I have downloaded the installation manager onto both a Vista and a Windows 11 computer through the links provided in my purchase confirmation email. Both of them have the same error. I can open and start the installation manager. However, when it tries to download the setup file the application exits. I have tried running in compatibility mode on both PCs but I always get the same result. Would you happen to please have a direct download link for the setup files for Magix Music Studio 2?

@Marc-Welbourn Contact customer support at infoservice@magix.net for a direct download link. The old downloaders no longer work.

Additionally, I don't think that this software will run fine under Windows 11. Maybe check out the free trial/ price reduced upgrade to Samplitude Music Studio X8.

This sounds like you are referring to the Support pages you get by clicking the Suppot option at the top ods this page.

@SP. has given you an email address to contact Magix directly.

If you use the Support pages link at the top of the page, after selecting the product, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Contact support, on the following page select Send Email, complete the form and send the request.

It's a product I have purchased. I'm not asking them for technical support, just for the installation files for my purchsed product.

I suspect the problem is that because your software is now very old they may no longer have access to its installer. However, I do understand your frustration but I think it is unrealistic to expect a software manufacturer to enable users to redownload their software "forever". Even ignoring the fact that updates to Windows often render older software unusable or even uninstallable.

@Marc-Welbourn I read that Music Studio 1 and 2 were feature limited versions of Samplitude Music Studio which came as a bonus application with Music Maker. If this is the case I recommend you simply switch to the free Samplitude Pro X4 Silver which is technically the latest successor of these kind of apps
