@Bruce-Drummond

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Please give us the FULL wording of the error message or, even better, a screenshot of it.

The most common reason for a problem with the Download Manager (whose purpose is to download the actual installer files and then run them) is if your antivirus and/or firewall is blocking the connection to the Magix servers.

I have have downloaded the acid pro 11 file... acidpro11_dlm_jd9emv to my windows 10 laptop.
When i click to install it comes up with an Magix manager error message.... abort/retry/ignore.
See picture attached.
Other programs have installed from Magix on my computer, but not the main one!
What should i do? i have tried many times.

@Bruce-Drummond

Hi

Try temporarily disabling the Antivirus Folder/Real time/Ransomware protection feature - some AV's have been known to block the download and installation of the main program install.

Hi, Thanks I tried again with the AV disabled and the firewall also disabled, there was no change in the error message that was sent through, any other suggestions? kind regards, Bruce

@Bruce-Drummond

Since disabling your AV and firewall effected no change I can only suggest two other possible reasons, I think:

  1. The Magix servers have a problem and the installation files cannot be downloaded. If that is the case, trying again later may resolve the problem for you.
  2. The Download Manager you have may be corrupt. Try redownloading it.
