index.htm won't update

Hi there. I just started today with magix, and so far am very happy with the results. But I have been having one nagging problem, and that is every time I update my homepage (index.htm) and upload it using magix ftp, I continue to see my original homepage with no updates. Is there any way that magix ftp will overwrite previous versions of my index.htm with updated versions that I upload?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi

This may not be the website but your web browser.

Try clearing your browser cache or hold down the Shift key, or Ctrl key depending on your browser, when you click the refresh button or repeatedly press f5.

Any of these will force the browser to reload the web page and not use the cached copy.

HTH

John

Thank you for the reply. I tried your suggestions, but the website still won't display the updated page. I will try uploading the page again.

I have to say, magix loads my website very fast. Too bad this is the only glitch. Hopefully it's something simple. If it means anything, my browser is IE8, and I created my site using FrontPage.

Thanks again.
