Independence Content Library DVD's

balinas wrote on 12/6/2017, 7:32 PM

I just purchased a copy of Samplittude PRO and Sound Forge PRO 11 from the MAGIX site. Along with this comes a number of DVD's entitled "Independence Content Library3." on each disc are a number of files. BUT there is no installation file, or any type of instructions regarding how to install or even use this 'Content lIbrary.'

I looked throughout the MAGIX sites, and frankly getting anywhere in the sites is quite cryptic. Getting to the help forum, I just read that inquiries regarding Sound Forge Pro 11 will be ignored, and only inquiries on Sound Forge Pro 12 will be answered.

so can anyone point me in some direction as to how to install the 'content' from the Independence Content LIbrary DVD's and what they are even useful for.? There is nothing obvious in any of the materials I received directly from MAGIX as to what this is for?

And what is that about, Where MAGIX continues to sell Sound Forge PRO11, just only after one buys are you informed that NO technical questions regarding sound Forge PRO 11 will be answered?

Thanks,

B

if it's like the download ONLY version of Samplitude Pro Suite (and remember I said IF its like the download version) - AFTER you install Samplitude you will find a new program folder in your start menu labeled "MAGIX" and under it you will see "Magix Independence Pro 3.3 VST plugin" and under that "Independence content installation" becasue the Samplitude installation process installs Independence Pro as an "add-in/add-on" to Samplitude. this version of Independence Pro won't work in any other DAW or HOST unless you BUY one of the versions of Independence Pro outright, consider it a freebie add-in for now.

You might also find the content installer at (again AFTER doing a full install of the Samplitude disks)

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VST\MAGIX\Independence\VSTPlugins64"

At any rate when you run the Indep. content installer it will ask you where the content source is (on DVD, on-line or on local drive in your case it's on the DVD - it took me almost 12 hours to download the almost 70GB of content I wish I had had the DVD's - STILL DO

Good luck

Hope that helps

@balinas

Hi,

There is another forum just for Samplitude users at:

http://support2.magix.net/boards/samplitude/

You have to register to be able to see anything. There, you will find a lot of useful information and links, especially to the upwards of 200 tutorials by Kraznet on YT.

Kraznet just posted a link to the Independence installation tutorial under the English newcomer part of the Sam forum. There is a second sticky link to tutorials and articles that you should take a look at.

You should look in the manual, particularly the first parts about Help and Support and Installation.

Strangely, links to the user forum and other places are not under the Help menu in Samplitude. Magix must have overlooked this.

Enjoy!

Hi all. I bought an Samplitude Pro X3 Suite to X4 upgrade and there is also the whole independence content library available in the box. Trying to install the library with the samplitude installer, there comes the message, that it is already installed. Is the content library the same like in X3 and/or how can I install the newer one? Please help me ...

Hi Christian,

The Independence installation would indeed be the same between these two generations of Samplitude. The underlying technology and the content of this add-on item hasn't really changed in a while.

Please consider opening a new topic with your question next time, rather than resurrecting an old thread that's only somewhat related to your question. 😉 Thanks!

Cheers!
