Incomplete or broken install

Installed demo of Version 18 - life was fine. Paid for and registered. Was pushed for update to 19. Now I get all sorts of errors when starting up the program, and cannot do previews, etc. etc.

Windows 10pro-64, 32gb. - Xara Web Designer Premium 19.0.0.63990 DL x64 Mar 11 2022 (Update service code: 4318 KA1)

Main error when trying to view the demo sample page is: "WebDesigner.exe - Bad Image .....\ENG\RTFfilter.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error....."

Error which pops up when trying to open a file: "Unable to download file C:\users\...\layoutcomponents\catindex.tmp. The message received from the server was ' Server error (EXTCRS2)'.

I did a complete uninstall of both the original demo 18 (why was it still there?) and the version 19 install. Then I went to the website and re-downloaded the installer stub for version 19. Installed, registered with purchased S/N, but still get same issues.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The problem with RTFFilter.exe has been reported by several users and I believe has been reported to Magix as a bug.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Searching on that error message lead to this rather old thread in the Talk Graphics forum. I think you need to create a Support Ticket if the error does not resolve itself quickly.

To start a ticket click on the Support link in the header of any forum page, follow carefully through each following page, always choosing the option to Ask Support; this may be very near the end of a page.
