Hi

The mediaInfo data shows that the video is a 'standard' although with an incorrect audio sample rate format, MMS 2024 should not have an issue with the files.

However there is an issue that should be fixed before proceeding further, from the MediaInfo data:

. . . . C:\Practice Shaolin Qigong Baduanjin.mp4 . . . .

The root of the C: drive is not the correct place to put files that you are working on. The program needs to create temporary files which are placed in the same location as the video file .

If you have the default install settings for Movie Studio , the video files, saved projects etc should be in the folder or sub folder of

C:\Users\Username\Documents\MAGIX\Movie Studio 2024 edition

where edition = Suite, Platinum etc

In the program settings Device options tab what are the Import, Processing and Export options set to?

Without knowing your computer specification, and having moved the video files etc to the correct location try loading the video file again, if it is still black changing the above Device option settings to CPU.

If the video then plays back correctly, are the GPU drivers up to date?

It would help if we know your computer specification including Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) you are working with if this is a laptop.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

HTH

Hi.

In addition to @johnebaker's comments.

If you have the video and audio on separate tracks, make sure you have not muted the video track.

Hi @johnbeaker. Thank you for that. I should have checked to see if CPU was set by default. My GPU did not work even with the previous version of Movie Studio.

Thanks mate. All done. No worries. BTW, changed processing from CPU to onboard video chip. It cut processing time in half. It is pity that my NVIDIA doesn’t work.

Hi

Thanks for that.

. . . . changed processing from CPU to the integrated video chip. It cut processing time in half . . . .

The integrated HD4600 can provide some hardware acceleration, contrary to normal advice, do not update the drivers to the last version for this GPU, the hardware acceleration, DirectX dependent, will be deprecated due to a security bug in the iGPU - see here.
