import data from a backup on a harddisc from jvc everio camera

i have the next question ,

i made a backup from a jvc everio hd camera on a hard drive .
on the hard drive is a file named  "2262b6c24324"
when the file is entered  you see the file " 100jvcso".
inside this file are the scene's named pic_0001 ,  pic _0002 , etc .
i can not import the scene's in video pro X .

can sombody tell me the correct way to do this

Hi,

You should have a look at the actual file extensions and file sizes to establish which files hold the actual video/audio information. There are probably a bunch of additional meta files in there that won't have any meaning in the context of the Magix video program and cannot be imported. You need to go for the actual video files. It's probably one of those MPEG-2 cams. I think the file extension you're looking for might be MOD (or just plain MPG).

If you can spot the correct MPEG-2 files but not import them, this might be due to the lack of a suitable MPEG-2 codec that the trial version can utilize (possibly if you're running Windows XP).
