I want to stop the popups

Brendan-Dubuc wrote on 3/4/2022, 8:21 PM

I recently had several MAGIX (acid, music maker, and at least one video program) products installed on my computer (PC running windows 10). However I got really upset from seeing the ad popups every time I turned my computer on. I thought that it might be a program that installed with all the other programs, so I uninstalled them all, intending to make a more aware installation. When I continued to get popups I looked on the internet, which only told me to uninstall the programs that I already uninstalled. I went as far as deleting all of the MAGIX product folders that I could find on my computer and I'm STILL having this issue; it's extremely upsetting.

@Brendan-Dubuc Uninstall a program called something like Magix Cloud, Update Notifier, Magix Connect, Magix Network Sync from Windows. Most likely it is called Update Notifier. You probably just clicked "Next" during the installation without reading what you were installing. You can select to not install this notifier.

After purchasing Acid 11 and installing on a brand new computer, I would get notifier errors every time that I started the computer. I just went to control panel, looked at the start programs, and turned the notifier off from starting up.

@RMD

Hi

Unless you use the Magix Cloud Import function, which is also part of Magix Cloud, Update Notifier, Magix Connect, Magix Network Sync, you can uninstall it - it is not necessary for the running of the program.
