Can you expand on what you mean by does not work?
Do note the method demonstrated in the video you linked to is capable of only a single password, if you are wanting different passwords for 'registered' users then, while this may be possible using another method, if the number of registered users is greater than 20 - 30 users then it becomes very unwieldy and unmanageable without the use od PHP and MySQL based website - Xara online and Web Designer do not support PHP or MySQL.
Hi John, when I say it does not work, in the video at the point when password protect file comes up in the edit section at the top of website builder it does not appear in mine so I cannot put it into a page, I can send screen shots if there is a facility to do so, many thanks, Fred.
See this Xara support article, it may help better and laos gives you the 'other methods' I mentioned - note the .htaccess method is the one that can get very unwieldy and unmanageable.
