I need help with adding reverb to vocal parts in an arrangement

I have an arrangement which has some vocal parts in it. I wish to add reverb to them. When I do so, and then hit the "Apply" button, The arrangement starts to play as the reverb is being added to the arrangement, but it sounds very strange. The parts are not synced up. After a few moments of hearing this jumbled up playback, It applys the reverb to all the parts that I had selected, but it alters the position of those parts in the arrangement. It seems to slip them all a tiny bit to the left, meaning that when the arrangement is played back, the vocal parts are no longer in sync with the rest of the music and actually start to play a moment before they should. I don't understand what is happening.

I am running Music Maker 16 premium, with Windows 7 operating system. I have 8gb of ram, and 2ghz processor.

DO NOT hit the APPLY button at the bottom of the effects rack.  That is what's causing the distortion.  You only need to hit the OK button at the bottom right-hand corner.  (Hitting the 'X' button will cancel any changes.)

The APPLY button triggers a destructive process.  The effects are permanently applied to the ojbect.  It can then only be undone by hitting "Undo" immediately after applying the effect(s).  The idea is to apply the effect to the object thus reducing the load on the CPU.

In this case, when you "apply" reverb and/or delay, the object is lengthened to "make room" for the trailing reverberations and/or echos.  This can throw the object out of sync with the rest of the arrangement.

Another option would be to export only the effected object as a WAV file and import it back into the arrangement.  Of course, the effects will become permanent and cannot be altered.  Again, this is only necessary to reduce the "size" of the arrangement and reduce the load on the CPU if needed.
