The Music Maker did not come with a free MP3 Encoder, you actually have to purchase the encoder or just export it as .wav and use a different program you may have to convert it to MP3.

Actually you are wrong, I bough the program in 2007 and have used it extensively since purchasing it and never had any problems withe the mp3 encoder and did not need to purchase anything. I'm having this problem now because last month the entire computer crashed, so I had to erase everything off my comp and reinstall the program. Anyway now it's only giving me a limited number of free mp3 exports unless I get some "activation code" which I have no clue what it is. Please anyone with real knowledge of handling this type of problem let me know what I can do.

Are you sure about that?  It's possible that you've forgotten.

MMM comes with a small, limited number of free MP3 conversions.  Then, you are required to purchase a license for unlimited MP3 conversions.

I guess I could be wrong.

What version of Music Maker do you have?

Magix Music Maker 11 Deluxe, bought it mid summer 2007...   It is possible I could be mistaken, but I think I would remember having to purchased a license, and for sure would have saved the code.

So how do I go about getting a new license, since that seems to be the only option I'll prolly end up with?

You would do the same thing you would have done the first time.  Go to...

HELP (menu) > Update program / Upgrade functions > Activate additional functions > Activate MP3...

(This example is from MM-15, but they all work pretty much the same.)
