I'm in timeline mode. The picture on the slideshow area has disappeared. How do I get it back

I have Photostory 2014 on a pc with OS Windows XP.

Other strange things going on. At one point I couldn't move forward or back on the timeline as there was no visible slider button. Now I don't see a pic on the slideshow frame, although I do see the object pic below on the timeline mode. Terribly frustrating. Any ideas?  Thanks, John

Also, just now my pictures in timeline all got squashed to a thin sliver. I had to get out of the program and come in again to restore them to the normal width.  Why would they become compressed like that???

Hi

Sounds like you are zooming in on the timeline.

If the timeline view is similar to other Magix programs there may be an 'Optimize timeline view' button bottom right of the timeline - it looks like a double headed arrow  - if so clicking this will return the timeline view back to the optimum for the window arrangement you are using.

HTH
