When I highlight text, click NAMES, type a 'name' but it wont add. It shows up in the available "link to anchors", but do not work when uploaded. Other ones work just below. I can't see any difference between them. I'm using words to be links, like a NavBar.

Is the name unique for that page, if there is already an anchor of the same name on the page it will not be overwritten causing the problem you are describing.
When you add the name and click Add is the name of the anchor as shown in the example below which I have called Top ?

I'm so grateful for your help- all of you. I have tried several different Names for where I want the anchor to be. I have other links working fine. I tried to add a couple more and ran into this problem. NOTHING is appearing in the lower box when I try to add it. However, it does appear in the list of choices for anchors! Is there a limit to how many anchors you can have? I just don't get it.
