First of all it is a risky task. As you will be aware Music Maker 11 got different synth and features than Music Maker 17. Therefore, it is not necessary Music Maker 17 can import all of your saved projects. I do got some older version of Music Maker 10.11.12 16 and using MMM 16 Premium. I have noticed even in Music Maker 16 or 16 Premium some saved projects from older version if try to open shows error as they can not be read properly.
Now, if you want to import your older projects first copy them on Computer or where ever you want. Then open Music Maker 17 click on File/Load arrangements (as per MMM 16 Premium)I think even in MMM 17 procedure will be same. Browse where your saved projects are click on the desired one and open. If MMM 17 import all of your project contents then great otherwise we got no option.
Why not just finish the songs in MM-11 and leave it at that? You can have two versions of MMM loaded on your computer at the same time.

It may be possible, but I can't say for sure since I don't own MM-17. I have migrated all of the soundpools and synths from MM-10 to MM-15. However, the process is too complex to describe here and there may be differences in MM-16 and MM-17 that I'm not aware of. Loading multiple soundpools is easy - transferring the synths is another matter. If it is possible, it would require a detailed tutorial to properly guide you.
Just to show you I'm telling the truth, here is my Synth collection in MM-15. It consists of all of the synths from MM-10 and MM-15, plus a number of additional VST plug-in synths. Robota tracks from MM-10 were fully compatible with the Robota synth in MM-15, so there was no need to transfer the synth (also because the two versions had the same file name).
