Hi there,

Definitely not a Vista problem per se. Just some recording latency that is the result of various factors, including sound hardware, sound drivers and program settings. Make sure to configure your Music Maker 12 to use ASIO drivers. Press "P" in the program to get into the playback parameters dialog. Select ASIO under "Device" and make sure to pick a suitable driver from the "ASIO device" drop-down list. The "Magix Low Latency" driver will work for you as a generic driver if you don't have dedicated sound hardware.

Try again. Recording with ASIO drivers will probably make the whole difference. However, ultimately, you might want to use a proper soundcard with ASIO drivers. Latency problems can also be performance related.

Yes,
Definitely set for ASIO! Try increasing your buffer in Magix as well.

I'm having the EXACT same problem. I tried setting it to ASIO but when ever it is on that setting, the song plays without any sound. I only hear it when I set the playback to Wave or Direct. HELPP!! please<3

Oh man, I'm having the same problem.  Now I hear nothing.

Ok, to get audio back: select "wave driver" and under output select "speakers/headphones"

And increase the "multitrack audio buffer" to 262144, that helps.
