I can't save my project

Lyn-Nichols wrote on 8/21/2022, 6:52 PM

Hello, I am having trouble saving my project via Magix Video Easy program. I've edited dozens of movies and converted to youtubes in the past but for some reason I can not save this one . It is saying file not found, check the file name and try again? I only have a few days to complete this little video slide show so any help would be amazing.

Thank you in advance

@Lyn-Nichols

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

The only things I can think of is either the original source files used in your project have been either deleted, moved to another location, has had the folder renamed, an external portable drive with the files has been removed or connected to a different port, or the computer has been shut down without first closing the editor.

Ray.

Thank you so much.

So, all of the photos were transferred from my iphone to one file on my computer... this is the file I am trying to upload from but it is hiding most of the photos and the only way i can add them is through the tab on the magix... right hand side where you can add photos or music or video.

Once i've done that, i discover it wont save.

Since then I have tried other videos, from different files and it is still saying can not save, file not found.

Thank you for any advice, technology is not my thing :)

Hi Lyn.

Please click on this link and read the article.

Your files are not 'hiding'. Windows just cannot read that image file type.

iPhones are Apple products and do not use the same image formats that a Windows machine can read. They use HEIC.

This article will explain how to download the HEIC plugin for Windows.

You may also have to convert them to jpg for them to work correctly in your editing software.

The same would go for video from your iPhone. Most Windows video editing programs would have trouble handling such files.
