I have been able to record through the line in on Producer, but when I plug in the USB microphone nothing happens. I have been through the control pannel, and the microphone is being picked up by the computer, but not in Producer. Does anyone know how I can adjust the settings so that I can record through the microphone?

This series of posts may help http://www.magix.info/us/at-2020-usb-mic-with-magix-music-maker-mx.knowledge.819059.html I would have told you that you should have searched the forum for this topic but you would have had to search on either only USB or USB mic, but the search functionality would not pick up USB Microphone and give you the result above.

By the way what USB Microphone are you using make and model would be good and have you installed the software drivers that should have come with the product.

This works the same way in certain respects. a USB microphone will appear to the program like a separate sound device, so in the recording properties you would select that device.
I have a USB headset by Logitech, this is recognized by MAGIX as the Logitech USB headset from the recording properties.
