How to get detailed editing instructions for Music Maker 17?

I am unable to get step by step instructions for editing, saving to music, or export to a CD on my downloaded version of Music Maker 17.  I was able to edit 2 songs, but could not save as music.  When file was saved to documents, it would only open in Music Maker.  Was not able to play in Windows Media Player or itunes.  In an effort to burn CD it appeared only to export the file. I was unable to play in another CD player.  Soooo, where do I find more detailed "how to" instructions?

Saving a project only saves a Magix file.

You need to export that song as a .wav (highest quality) or the format in which you want.

For exporting, you would first open the project, then go to the drop down menu "file" then to Export, then choose the export file type you want.

Remember to save it to the location you want, as by default it will put the export in a Magix program folder.

You need to read the owner's manual.  It can be accessed through the HELP menu...

Help (menu) > Documentation > Table of Contents

...Or through the Windows START menu...

Start (menu) > MAGIX > MAGIX Music Maker 17 > Documentation

This is very basic information.  It is in the manual.  But, these might help...

As you can see in the second screen shot, you can set the location to save the file, the bit rate, stereo or mono, and whether to "normalize" the volume during conversion.

You're right....the manual does not cover all scenarios, but most of the basics ARE there.  There is also a great deal of information in the help files of some components that's not included in the main manual.

Beyond that, it's going to take quite a bit of effort on your part to learn the software inside and out.  I've been using it for years, and I'm still learning new things!  That's when the MAGIX forum comes in.  It lets other more experienced user's help you fill in the gaps (most of the time).  Still, we can't do it all for you.  The best way to learn is to use the software, and ask questions when you're stumped.
