How to compress a video

I am trying to find out how to compress a video. Please assist.

For what do you want to compress the video, playing it on DVD, on HD DVD , on youTube .. on Youtube HD ?

Try the Export menu, and than chose a resolution from that list.

The more details you give us , the better.

Hi,

Under the "File" menu of Movie Edit Pro, you will find an "Export movie" sub menu that will enable you to mix down and output your movie to a variety of standard video formats. What output quality, degree of compression and other characteristics you achieve depends on the format and settings you choose here. What option you need to pick here really depends on what you're compressing this video for (purpose, target device).
