How to COMPLETELY uninstall MEP | So can do a clean re-install?

Apollo89x wrote on 3/11/2024, 4:48 PM

I have MEP Pro Plus (2022).

The program has developed a bug which now causes it to freeze-up for 10-seconds, approx 30-seconds after the program is opened...
Every single time (no matter what video is loaded / or even if there's no video at all loaded!)?

I therefore need to uninstall MEP entirely | Do a fresh clean-install | And hopefully that will of fixed this bug...
But so does anyone know how to actually full uninstall the software, please?

I have tried using Revo Uninstaller :: But even after deleting all directories + restarting my laptop...
Then reinstalled version of MEP just defaults back to the previously saved settings & layout | Rather than being an actual clean re-install!

You may have already covered this but here's what Magix has to say about Reinstalling:

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

Thankyou - I will try this now.

(Not sure why the f**k Magix have designed their software to behave like a malware-virus though | But thankyou for this info - I will try it now)
