How do I work around the issue of not being able to import a song from CD? Have tried several methods. Error message says "cannot be read".

I am trying to edit a song.  I bought the song on iTunes and burned it to a CD.  I used File Manager to try to import it from CD.  I also saved the song in My Documents and tried to import it from there.  Both times there is an error message that says it "cannot be read".  (The song plays fine on other programs, in the CD drive, etc).  Is there a way to get this song into Magix or am I stuck?  Using Music Maker 17, on Vista, downloaded software.

Thanks for any expertise!!!

We don't have quite enough information to give you a definitive answer about your CD.  We don't know what format the files are in.

It is not a great idea to convert a file multiple times to use it in MMM.  The best thing to do would be to directly convert the iTunes file on your hard drive into a compatible format for MMM.  You can read about how to do this here...

The WAV format would be preferred, but they are large files.  A high bit rate MP3 conversion would work well.  You can then use the File Manager to import the file(s) into your arrangement.
