How do I view video in Samplitude Music Studio 2013?

discburn wrote on 8/22/2013, 11:28 AM

Hi, I want to process an audio track, WAV 16 bit 48KHz in Music Studio 2013.

It has been exported from a video program.  I've also exported the video file with a guide audio track, so I can see how best to adjust the audio.

However, I can't see how to import the reference video file.  I was able to do it with Music Studio 15, but can't see how to do it with MS 2013.

Also, if it is possible, what is the best video format to use?  (Right now it's a DV Stream)

Thanks,

Seamus

Hi

To import video into Music Maker it must be in one of the following formats:

mxv,  wmv,  avi  or  mov (requires Quicktime installing).

Hi John.  I'm afraid with Samplitude Music Studio 2013, importing a video is not possible (Magix Technical Support just informed me!).

It used to be possible with Music Studio 15 and I still have a copy of that.

Interesting what you say about the program Music Maker.  Is it possible to compile a soundtrack to the imported video?

Hi

. . . .Samplitude Music Studio 2013, importing a video is not possible . . .

Confusing as it is advertised as 'the next stage up' from Music Maker which can import video and also export video with the music you create to go with the video. as shown in the example below

Timeline (video on track 1)

Exported video

Supported file formats of Music maker are here

Thanks John,

Amazing that Music Maker can and Music Studio can't!

Maybe a special patch for a Video Track would be nice!
