Hi, thanks for the response.  I am in timeline mode as you show.  I have moved titles, voiceovers, the audio from videos, I have moved everything from the part of the timeline where the song is playing,  but for the life of me I can't get the song file to show up.  It continues to play in the background, but I cannot access it.  I have clicked every button and icon from corner to corner of the screen, but nothing seems to help.

Were the songs that have 'disappeared' audio files that you added to the timeline (presumably on track 2 or 4) or created using the Soundtrack Maker?

A bit of a longshot, however with the project closed and PS not running :-

If the audio is from files added by yourself try moving the original(s) to another folder,

Look to see if you have an Audiotemp folder - you may have to search for this - and again move any files present.

Start PS and open the project - hopefully PS should then complain it cannot find the files and ask you what to do - if it does, skip searching for them and continue loading the project.

Save the project under another name and the close and reload it.

That's a good idea I hadn't thought of.  I will try removing the songs from the folders.  Yes, they were songs I added myself, not made in soundtrack.

Unfortunately the 4 tracks are limited in functionality ie quote from the manual-

The first track is for the photos, but videos can also be loaded.

The next track is for the audio track of videos and for the frames. Additional audio recordings (so-called overdubs) are placed here (commentaries, for example).

The third track contains the titles (which can be created via the buttons "Text" in Storyboard mode) and style elements. These can also be added via the Slideshow Maker.

The fourth track is for additional sound material, i.e. everything you may wish to add to your photo via drag & drop from the Media Pool. Additional audio recordings (so-called overdubs) are placed here (commentaries, for example).

AFAICS there is no work around for this except to get all the material on track 4 correct then let it 'disappear' on to a hidden track when you expand the video clip.

This may result in odd problems - only experimenting will tell. 

I would suggest moving up to Movie Edit Pro as this has up to 99 tracks (Premium version) which are 'freestyle' ie not dedicated as in Photostory.
