Hi,

Normally when you record it should continue recording unless you stop.

Here is anothe way to record more than 16 Bar or else.

In first screen shot look at two red arrows and a yellow bar

you have to stretch it to the right

refer screen shot it is just a sample, even if there is no audio if we click on the Minus sign as shown in the screen shot we can easily stretch the Bar to to the right or can do other things too.

Minus sign is being shown by red arrow on the right below. Have to click this first.

In second screen shot you can see the bar has extend to the right just follow red marked items.

The above screen shot is only a reference. Even if there is no object on the arranger we can still stretch the bar by following above method.
